Hi. My name is Janine Laurent. I am a transgender person who lives part time as a woman and part time as a man in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I enjoy both my male and female sides but if I had my druthers I would choose to spend more time exploring and living my female life. I do not consider myself to be a crossdresser but I’m not particularly sure that I am a transsexual either. I believe like many transgender people that I fall somewhere in the middle between the two. However, knowing as I do that transgenderism is very dynamic, I dare not predict what I may feel and where I may be in 5 or 10 years. Transgenderism is a journey and I am taking it..:).

Despite my part time status I live a full and rewarding life as a woman, going out in the mainstream world, enjoying different kinds of cultural and social activities, meeting and educating different kinds of people, who for the most part have been receptive, warm and welcoming. I am able to do this because I have been blessed with a loving wife, family and wonderful friends who have supported my need to be who I am.
